In 2001, I started doing web design, digital video, and audio work, and I noticed a lack of companies providing ethical and honest SEO. With my interest in helping small businesses grow, I found a niche with SEO. As the business grew, I knew I had to bring on additional staff to help. I hired one SEO specialist in 2019 and then expanded my business in 2020 to include Sean, an SEO Specialist, Drew, our SEO Relations Manager, and Leslie, an SEO Content Specialist. And now, Acquire Internet Marketing (AIM) will celebrate 20 years in June!
I enjoy walking clients through their SEO reports— I empower them by helping them earn them page 1 rankings in Google. I’ve learned that effective SEO takes experience, honesty, time, focus, targeted SEO research, and analysis tools to succeed. I’ve found success by focusing on SEO and not a variety of web services.
Who is your ideal customer?
Our clients typically have 3-25 employees in the service industry and they’re generally Colorado-based. We really enjoy helping startup businesses get a jump start!
What are your top tips for entrepreneurial success?
One crucial tip is to hire great people and let them do their job. As Jim Collins said, I aim to “get the right people on the bus in the right seats.” I feel that I got lucky picking the right industry and helping businesses grow through SEO. It’s important to talk to your clients, keep them posted on progress, and explain what’s happening. Transparency and honesty is the key to success.
