They’ve tapped into that ‘can-do’ attitude.

Both Karen and George have solid business backgrounds that are truly an asset to their business. Karen, a CPA, has held executive finance positions at Fortune 500 companies including PricewaterhouseCoopers, McGraw-Hill Education, Prudential Financial and J&J. Her passions: Helping woman business owners elevate their financial skills, and providing financial education in underserved communities.  Karen currently serves as NY chapter president of the National Association of Black Accountants.

What was it about OE that intrigued them?

Karen remembers how tough it was for her father to build his business from the ground up. “His struggles inspired me to want to provide small business owners with space to build their business and to create a community where like-minded people collaborate and support each other through their entrepreneurial struggles.”  OE fit the bill, with its focus on Ohana and its commitment to building connection between members and helping them achieve their dreams of success.

A bit about their location and members…Headers_0073_NJ Woodbridge 11

George: “Members often say our location checks all their boxes. We’re centrally located in a busy shopping area between two major malls and easily accessible via several major highways. Plus, we’re close to public transportation – just a five minute drive from the train station, and a half hour train ride from New York City.”

Their OE location offers a diverse mix of coworking spaces, conference rooms outfitted with high-tech equipment, and day offices. Members say they appreciate the fact that pricing is competitive and transparent, especially for additional services such as phone answering.

And the members themselves? A mix of solopreneurs and large corporate teams coming from a variety of industries.  “We enjoy learning from each of them and creating an environment where they can network with each other,” says Karen. ”Our members often compliment us on the warm and inviting environment we have created.”

What’s the best part of managing an OE location?

They agree: It’s the Ohana mentality. They’re passionate about helping local dreamers and doers thrive, and they’re confident in their abilities to support and guide them on their journey to success.
