Member Spotlight - Pickett and Associates

Pickett and Associates was incorporated in 1963 and exists to provide power transmission and substation design, project management, surveying, aerial mapping, and LiDAR services to electric utilities. Pickett is recognized for their vast experience, first-rate service and exceptional safety practices. Based in central Florida, their primary service area covers the Southeastern U.S. and the Caribbean Islands.

Pickett’s purpose statement is, “We Solve the Problems That Matter” – meaning they serve clients who feed the world and bring light to dark places. In the past few years, Pickett has experienced rapid growth, opening offices in several new locations to better serve their clients. Their corporate culture is built on honesty and integrity and empowers their employees to work toward innovative solutions to meet the needs of their clients. Pickett offers a team of highly experienced and diversified professionals that focus on providing personal service and attention to detail in every aspect.

Mike Schnell is the CEO of Pickett and Associates and has more than 30 years of engineering and business management experience. As CEO, Mike’s responsibilities include setting the vision and strategic direction of the company, developing the culture and overseeing the company’s overall performance. He is responsible for day-to-day management decisions and for implementing the Company’s long- and short-term plans and objectives.

Mike was looking for a temporary office solution for his team while waiting for a buildout of their new location. Jim Schimpf of Opportunity Knocks has an office at Office Evolution Tampa and recommended OE to Mike. It couldn’t have been a more perfect fit!

Mike and his team became members of Office Evolution Tampa in October 2018.
