Why You Need Flexible Workspace in 2021

As the pandemic of 2020 extends its reach into 2021, we are all seeing a light at the end of the tunnel.  Who knew, way back in March 2020, that the pandemic would last this long? It has been grueling and difficult in so many ways and caused a lot of disruption and pain in people’s lives. With the onset of the vaccines, I am not the only one breathing a sigh of relief and believing we will see a return to normal life soon.

Of course, normal life will not be the same now that we have endured these tumultuous months. As with all traumatic events, lessons have been learned that will forever change how we conduct life (and business) as usual. Who will feel more comfortable wearing a mask during cold and flu season now? I know I will. (Plus I have a lot of funny and cute ones too good to throw away)!

Working Near Home

The pandemic is accelerating the need for flexible working – it has shown us that people can work remotely and productively when away from a traditional office. Businesses like Google, Facebook, and Twitter are adopting policies that give workers more freedom to choose how and where they work, and many companies will continue to follow their lead. According to a survey of Fortune 500 CEOs, over 25% of leaders were looking at adopting permanent remote work setups for part of their workforce due to the Covid-19 pandemic. As businesses of all sizes continue to implement new remote work setups, the demand for flexible workspace close to where employees live will continue to rise.

Eastern Iowa is full of small technology startups, freelancers, and solopreneurs.  “Flexible space providers have long been a beneficial resource for these types of businesses who want to be surrounded by their peers while saving on their overhead expenses and commute times. Businesses are moving away from the traditional workspace in city centers and are looking at flexible options in suburban markets where people live,” said Office Evolution CEO and founder, Mark Hemmeter.

Working from a flexible workspace center provides remote workers and business owners with access to a safe and flexible workspace where they can innovate, collaborate, and network to enhance business performance. The center provides all the amenities you need—enterprise-grade wifi, modern and ergonomic furniture, mailboxes, phones, meeting rooms, and community kitchens— so you can focus on your business and clients.

Working near home is a win-win for both businesses and their workers. As we all transition back to a sense of normalcy, being close to home provides a level of comfort and security.
