Horizon Day Camp Present: HorizonWALKS
Office Evolution is proud to promote Horizon Day Camps inaugural HorizonWALKS event on Sunday, June 12 from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the National Harbor. Join the DMV community in supporting this great cause!
Although the route is a 5k this is not a sanctioned race about speed and going it alone. It’s about teams who are moved by positively impacting families facing pediatric cancer walking together. Witnessing, firsthand, how they can provide the gift of summer day camp joy to families who could benefit from love, support, and kindness.
HorizonWALKS is a fun celebration that encompasses Horizon Day Camp. Every single facet of this initiative is meaningful, full of joy, and hugely impactful. They will have free kid themed activities including a face painter, balloon twister, arts & crafts tables, plus more. Don’t worry, they will also have lots of activities for the adults, too!
They are actively encouraging community members to step into a leadership role by organizing teams for this first HorizonWALKS event.
Proceeds of this event will help raise critical funds needed to support Horizon Day Camp. Horizon Day Camp is a six-week summer day camp launching in Fairfax Virginia that helps restore the joys of childhood to local children with cancer, and their siblings, free of charge.
This is the first of many summers where they will host these beautiful children and their siblings… free of charge. We need your help to make it possible. Please consider registering as a walker or a HorizonWALKS team captain. Their website has comprehensive resources to assist you in recruiting for your team, asking for donations, creating DIY fundraiser events, etc.
