Peter Lierni, Founder and Lead Principal, Solutioneering, LLC, Guides Government Capture Managers to the Win
Who are you?
I am the Founder and Lead Principal of Solutioneering, LLC. I have over two decades of experience working in the Federal, State, Local, and International Government marketspaces. My passion is guiding Government capture managers to the win. I am a Husband, Father, Christian, and Veteran.
Why did you choose your profession?
I believe that the mission of Government is too important and its challenges too complex to treat winning competitive Government bids as a transactional activity or just a process. Critical thinking is required. I enable the right thinking to occur to help the right company to win to help Government succeed.
My ability to successfully do this is a product of my experience as a Naval Officer; consulting across numerous Federal Agencies over the years; and learning to perform client delivery, program management, capture management, solution development, and proposal development very well. After being part of a very successful acquisition in the federal market space a number of years ago, I was encouraged by the founder of the firm to do what I do today. It resulted my developing a framework (the Solution Engineering Framework™) and the subsequent publishing of a book “Solution Engineering” based on it that has enabled the winning of hundreds of millions of dollars in competitive Government bids in the Federal, State, Local, and International marketspaces. I teach the Solution Engineering Framework and consult using it to growth-focused firms in the Government marketspace.
What do you do for fun?
First and foremost, I just enjoy spending time with my family doing anything. I also enjoy swimming (almost every day), long walks, running, and hiking on the Appalachian Trail.
