Office Evolution Conference Room

Moon Meeting Space

In a continuing series of stream of consciousness business planning, a couple of weeks ago we were looking at the big, giant Harvest Moon. As we looked at the moon, we thought about how the moon would look from space. And that got us thinking about different kinds of space, and ultimately meeting space – which we offer at Office Evolution Phoenix.

Meeting Space Types

I’ve written about Meeting Space or Conference Rooms before, but meeting space generally falls into three broad categories in the short-term rental industry:

  • Conference Rooms (large or small);
  • Day Offices (private offices staged and ready for someone to use as their own office on a temporary basis);
  • Training Rooms.

Conference Rooms usually accommodate anywhere from four people to 20 depending on the room size and furniture provided. Often the conference rooms will have audio visual equipment available for use – for example, streaming to the television or projector in the room, a video conferencing system (e.g., and OWL conference system), internet connectivity, speaker phones, etc. Refreshments may or may not be available, but the Conference Room is ready to handle team meetings, board meetings, client meetings, depositions, off-site meetings and all manner of necessary face-to-face as well as virtual get-togethers.

Day Offices are essentially a small conference room set up as a private office. Our Day Offices are often used by attorneys, accountants, tax preparers, financial advisors, etc. when they want to meet one-on-one (two) with their clients. The Day Office essentially becomes their part-time, occasional office. Especially during tax season, our tax preparers and accountants will use the Day Offices to either collect info or present results. It is for all intents and purposes, “their” office.

Training Rooms are often much larger than either Conference Rooms or Day Offices and usually accommodate 20-50 or more people. Often set up as a classroom-type setting, they usually have available similar audio-visual and telephonic capabilities as the Conference Rooms.

Why?

So why use a meeting space? Well the obvious answers are:

  • You don’t have a good space to meet clients, team members or potential clients;
  • You need a professional location to have a meeting that is quieter with better privacy than a coffee shop;
  • And, you need to get away from your regular office to have a meeting, conference or planning session where you cannot be interrupted.

Fina a Meeting Space near you that can you make the most of your time in meetings with clients, potential clients, team members, executive teams, etc.

And don’t forget – when you see the moon, think Meeting Spaces!
