Office Evolution Troy and The Chronic Illness Foundation to Host Blood Drive for Beaumont/ Corewell Health

Office Evolution Troy and The Chronic Illness Foundation today announced a holiday blood drive.

In conjunction with Versiti Blood Centers, the primary blood supplier to Corewell Health (Beaumont) & Henry Ford Health systems there are currently 15 donation slots with a minimum goal of at least 30 filled donation spots. The blood drive will be at Office Evolution Troy (801 W Big Beaver Rd, Atrium, Troy, MI 48084) on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 12:30 PM-5 PM.More than 38,000 blood donations are needed every day, according to Cedars-Sinai. Type O-negative whole blood can be transfused to people with any blood type but this type of blood is rare and supplies of it are low. Type AB plasma can be transfused to patients with all other blood types but is also in short supply.“More than 60% of Americans suffer from one or more chronic illnesses, and the most common chronic blood diseases include anemia, hemophilia, sickle cell disease and leukemia,” said Anthony Martinez Beven, Executive Director of the Chronic Illness Foundation, located inside the 801 Building.Office Evolution Troy is a coworking business center specializing in virtual mailing services, private offices, meeting rooms and also features podcast recording studio. “We are delighted to partner with The Chronic Illness Foundation to bring lifesaving blood donations to the southeast Michigan medical systems.” Colleen Budde, co-owner and Business Center Manager of Office Evolution Troy said, “This is a great example of our desire to engage with our community and do our best to make a positive impact, one donation at a time.”
