Member Spotlight: CloudThinking

Peter Makokha drinks his coffee from a red travel mug and, nine times out of ten, wears a beaming smile.  This entrepreneur is the founder of CloudThinking – a company born of a desire to provide a better solutioning experience for organizations in human-centered industries such as health care, education, and non-profits.  Peter has served in both the private and public sectors and founded CloudThinking to build on his commitment to social good, while still weaving the power of embodied knowledge, digital tools, and cloud-based solutions into a story of success.

A conventional RFP process frequently commits an organization to a problem, a process, and an inevitably short-sighted solution.  With CloudThinking, the answer emerges after an iterating dialogue which addresses dilemmas:  those previously known and those thus far unarticulated.

For Peter, Human Centered Design is both an intentional practice and a means to tangible solutions for his clients, making it nearly unavoidable for his clients to go on to be more efficient in data gathering, handling, and interpretation.  CloudThinking’s wells of creativity are deep and ever-evolving; and Peter’s passion for introducing organizations to their own inherent knowledge, and then providing the framework for building successful interactions and ventures going forward… that’s a dream-come-true job for Peter.  And he gets to live it daily.
