Franchise Spotlight – Dan Synwolt

Born and raised in Chicago, Cub’s fan Dan Synwolt is using his unique background to provide an excellent professional environment for other entrepreneurs and small business owners.

synwolt 2Mr. Synwolt has been very fortunate to work for several organizations in his career that include both small businesses and Fortune 500 companies.  This includes experience in production management, stock brokerage, and sales to all size businesses, as well as large enterprises. He currently owns a commercial cleaning business, as well as an Office Evolution franchise. Although having been described as somewhat of a workaholic, he’s trying to accommodate a more reasonable schedule these days to spend more time with his wife and son.

About the Location:

The center is a short, 5-10 minute drive from O’Hare Airport. There are several members that rent an office and conference rooms just based strictly on the convenience to/from the airport. The pricing structure is extremely reasonable and flexible when compared to renting conference rooms at the area hotels/ motels. Parking is free and the time savings is substantial rather than traveling to a downtown Chicago venue. Being located at the intersection of two expressways (I-94/ I-294) makes it easy for both members and guests to reach the location from most areas of Chicagoland. Moreover, the building complex includes many amenities including multiple foodservice options, a convenience store, hair salon, vending, a fitness center and even a car detailing service, all on-premise.

Cheryl is the business manager, and a tremendous asset to the center. She is one of the most genuinely positive people that you’ll ever meet. She also has that ‘do whatever it takes’ mindset, to help accommodate the member’s and guest’s needs.

There is a very broad range of members, including trade workers, trucking, financial services, real estate, non -profits, and therapists, as well as others. For a while, there was a member who was a chiropractor which was unique and very convenient for our members and tenants that reside in O’Hare Plaza building complex. One of the recent members started as a virtual office vendor, then as his business grew, transitioned into a dedicated office. This enterprise grew to the extent of his requiring his own office suite. There is also an energy drink manufacturer/distributor that is following this same progression.

Dan attributes the keys to his success is observing, and hopefully contributing to the success of his members. If he has helped in this success, even if it’s a very small part, then he feels that he has done his job. This is one of the most satisfying parts of this business.

Additionally, the franchisee group has been very collaborative in collectively improving the business model. The group consists of people from diverse backgrounds, and many bring unique perspectives and ideas that benefit the entire organization as a whole. They are always striving for continual improvement in what they do, and they are doing it together – that’s Ohana!
