Creating a Magnetic Home: An Evening with Author and Energy Expert Tonja Waring

On Wednesday, October 1st, The Ohana Network was honored to welcome Tonja Waring to Office Evolution Boulder for an intimate evening of conversation, book reading, and community connection.

Tonja is a feng shui master, reiki practitioner, and manifesting coach, as well as the author of Magnetic Home, a book that redefines how we think about the energy of our surroundings and how it influences the flow of our lives. Her visit to Boulder was more than a traditional book signing. It was an invitation to explore how our environments can support joy, balance, and abundance.

She was introduced to our community by Christie, Director of Community Experience at OE Boulder, who has been personally inspired by Tonja’s work.

“When Tonja told me she was ready to release her new book, Magnetic Home, I was excited to host her book reading and signing here at Office Evolution Boulder,” Christie shared. “I want others to experience more joy, abundance, enlightenment, and all the good things in their lives too.”

Before guests arrived, Tonja walked through the space to assess the feng shui of several empty offices that are soon to welcome new members. Within moments, the shift in energy was noticeable. The space felt refreshed and more vibrant, reflecting her belief that energy responds to intention.

During the reading, Tonja shared stories from her own journey and spoke about how feng shui became a creative and spiritual practice for her. Guests listened as she explained how even small, intentional adjustments can change the atmosphere of a space and the mindset of the person within it.

Christie reflected on Tonja’s work, saying,

“I have seen lives transformed as a result of her coaching, feng shui consultations, and even conversations with strangers. I could share so many stories, and I could sing Tonja’s praises all day.”

Throughout her book, Tonja guides readers to enter spaces with awareness and care. She explains how our environments can become reflections of our internal world and how aligning them can spark personal and professional growth.

(A note from the blog author: I have always thought of feng shui as something complex and hard to reach, something that required years of study to understand. Tonja makes it approachable and clear for newcomers. One quote I especially loved was: “We are here to play, to create, to experience the miracle of life fully. Too often, we sit in the stands critiquing how others are playing or, worse, we stay home, safe in our recliners, analyzing the game but never stepping onto the field ourselves.”)

As the evening came to a close, guests shared heartfelt conversations about their own experiences and what they hoped to improve in their personal spaces. It was an evening filled with insight, warmth, and a renewed appreciation for how our environments can shape the way we live and work.
