Smartphones and mobile technology have quickly been adopted by businesses and are becoming a standard business-to-consumer communication platform in the 21st Century. Jack Jostes, Internet Marketing Director for Ramblin Jackson, feels mobile is one of the key elements pushing businesses forward in today’s technology driven society.
We recently caught up with Jack at his office space located at Office Evolution Boulder. During our conversation Jack shared with us several business tips, and a few statistics, that may be worth implementing for your business. We are a web marketing and video production business based in Boulder, Colorado. Ramblin Jackson helps small businesses get found online with website design, social media, video production and SEO (Search Engine Optimization).
We do video! Video is great for SEO and a great way to differentiate your business online. We provide a holistic presence for businesses: from their photography to video to their website, social media and SEO, we do it all under one roof.
One of my favorite things about Ramblin Jackson is that we really make a big difference in peoples’ businesses. Just recently we had a childcare business that had a terrible website. They came to us for SEO and I said, “Great, we’re going to do SEO, but your website is terrible, no one will hire you. You need a new website.” They agreed and I’m so glad they did because now, their revenue is up over $8,000 per month.
There were two things that made that project successful:
One of the ways our industry has changed over the last 5 years is the explosion of mobile. Mobile is taking over everything. People are now searching on their mobile devices more than they are on computers. Sixty-six percent of emails are opened on mobile devices and video is also consumed on mobile.
In your marketing, you want to think mobile first because people, whether they see a print ad or a TV commercial or they are searching for you online, they are going to engage with your brand on mobile.
Get reviews! Get reviews on Google My Business and Yelp. If you’re in sales, get them on LinkedIn.
Also, get video testimonials from your customers. Put the video testimonials on YouTube, and your website because people are researching you and your competitors. Reviews are what’s going to set you apart.
We’ve been Office Evolution members for over three years and we love it.
