As frigid weather approaches the Front Range this season, we’re reminded of our privilege of being warm and staying warm. Our Ohana Network wants to give back to those who need us this season. This November marks the first initiative in a new series of community impact programs we’ll be launching: The Veterans Winter Warmth Initiative, a campaign dedicated to supporting Colorado’s veterans through the coldest months of the year.
Across the Denver metro area, many veterans continue to face challenges with housing, mental health, and access to basic essentials. Despite local progress in reducing veteran homelessness, hundreds remain without stable shelter, and far too many struggle with the invisible wounds of service.
The Veterans Winter Warmth Initiative was created to respond with both compassion and action, providing immediate relief through donations and building a foundation for future veteran support programs.
Starting this month, Office Evolution and Venture X locations across Colorado will host donation bins in their shared spaces. Members, guests, and community partners are encouraged to contribute coats, blankets, gloves, hats, socks, sweatshirts, sweatpants, and thermal pants. At any of our Ohana Network locations, donations can be dropped off near the desks of our Directors of Community Experience, making it simple for members to participate while they’re in the space.
Timed around Veterans Day, this initiative serves as both a call to action and a moment of reflection. It is an opportunity to honor those who have served by showing up for them in a tangible way.
Through partnerships honoring veterans, such as Pickup Please and Colorado Veterans Project, all collected items will go directly to veterans who need them most.
While this campaign focuses on the colder months, it represents something bigger: a year-round promise to honor and empower veterans.
In the months ahead, we plan to expand our efforts with new initiatives that support veteran entrepreneurship, career development, and community connection. The goal is to help veterans thrive long after the winter season ends, fostering meaningful opportunities that align with their resilience and leadership.
If you visit one of our locations this winter, we invite you to drop off an item, spread the word, or take a moment to thank a veteran. Every act of kindness helps keep our community strong and reminds those who served that they are seen, supported, and valued.
Together, we can make this winter a little warmer and the road ahead a little brighter for Colorado’s veterans.
