October Member Spotlight: Kory O’Laughlin, BOSLEY

Please share a bit about you. Are you a dreamer, risk-taker or doer?

Hi! My name is Kory O’Laughlin. I am a Regional Supervisor with BOSLEY. I manage the Chicago, Kansas City and Atlanta Surgical Centers. I oversee a team of counselors as well as assist patients to find a solution for their hair loss. I would describe myself as a Doer.  At the end of the day, I am looking to get things done for my clients, so I think this best describes what I’m about.

As fellow entrepreneurs, we would enjoy hearing about your business.

BOSLEY is the leader in hair restoration. I help our patients determine which option is best in meeting their hair restoration goals.  Over the past 40-plus years, we’ve pioneered the art and science of hair restoration for both men and women using our world-class clinical resources, research and technology.  My job is to understand the challenges of dealing with hair loss, and I’m dedicated to helping my clients recapture the confidence and happiness they deserve

Many of our readers may be able to use your product/service. Would you please describe your ideal customer/client?

If you or someone you know is experiencing hair loss, please reach out! I am happy to help determine if BOSLEY can help you. There are a lot of misconceptions about hair loss, but also about how to treat it.  I like to take a consultative approach to see if BOSLEY is a good fit.  If not, I will point you in the right direction.

Would you share some top tips for success with our readers?

I have worked with BOSLEY for a number of years and am consistently one of the top-performing Regional Supervisors.  For me, the key is to approach each customer with the idea of helping him or her to solve a problem or achieve a goal, not of selling a product or service.  A common trap for entrepreneurs is to focus on the solution or the product that they have invested so much time developing, which I think is part of human nature.  To overcome this, I focus on the reasons the client came to see me in the first place and identify their goals.

How has Office Evolution helped your business?

Office Evolution is the start of my patients’ BOSLEY experience. Patients sometimes come into the office and they are nervous for their appointment. The OE team does an excellent job at reception by greeting the patients, processing our intake information, and most importantly making our clients feel comfortable.
