If you’ve spent time in one of our spaces, there’s a good chance you’ve felt the welcoming energy Rae helps bring to the community every day. As our Director of Community Experience, Rae focuses on creating an environment where members feel comfortable, supported, and genuinely happy to walk through the door.
In her role, Rae works to bring good energy, comfort, and a sense of family to the workspace. A lot of her day-to-day is about reading the room and noticing the small details that shape someone’s experience. That might mean helping a new member get settled in, introducing two people who should definitely know each other, or adding thoughtful touches that make the space feel organized and cared for.
“A lot of my job is reading the room,” Rae says. “Noticing when someone needs help getting set up, introducing two people who should definitely know each other, or adding small touches that make the space feel thoughtful and cared for. I want people to walk in and immediately feel like, ‘Okay, I belong here.’”
For Rae, the best part of working in a coworking community is the people. Every day brings together creatives, founders, remote workers, small teams, and big ideas all sharing the same space. It’s that mix of stories, personalities, and ambitions that makes the environment feel alive.
She especially loves the small moments that happen naturally throughout the day. Watching two members meet and instantly click, seeing someone who was once quiet begin to feel at home, or hearing a passing “I love working here” reminds her why the work matters.
Rae’s path to coworking is rooted in hospitality and wellness. Before stepping into the world of community experience, she spent years working in hotels and bartending, learning how to take care of people, stay organized, and create a welcoming atmosphere. Hospitality taught her how to notice details and anticipate what someone might need before they even ask.
Alongside that work, Rae also became a certified personal trainer with a background in boxing, aerobics, and Kali martial arts. Coaching people one-on-one helped her develop patience, encouragement, and the ability to support people as they grow. Those same qualities carry over into how she helps members feel comfortable and supported in the workspace.
Outside of work, Rae continues to explore her passion for holistic wellness. She’s currently studying yoga, mindfulness, and the connection between mind and body as part of a personal journey toward balance and well-being. One of her long-term goals is to travel to India to complete a 200–300 hour yoga instructor training, studying the practice where it originated.
When she’s not exploring wellness practices, Rae enjoys spending time with family, visiting museums, learning about history, and discovering new hiking trails around Colorado. Many members may also remember her dog, Chakra, who used to join her at the office and quickly became the space’s unofficial mascot and favorite coworker. These days, Chakra is still Rae’s loyal sidekick and adventure buddy.
Rae has also played a role in helping share the stories of our community. As a founding contributor to the newsletter, she helps shape our culture through social engagement and the occasional blog post. When she first joined Denver Coworking as a Community Coordinator, she saw an opportunity to connect with members beyond the front desk and began curating organic content across all 12 locations.
What started as a small creative idea has grown into an exciting and collaborative effort between Rae and the newsletter team, helping highlight the people, stories, and energy that make our Ohana Network special.
At the heart of it all, Rae’s focus is simple: creating a space where people feel comfortable, connected, and part of something bigger than just a place to work.
