Member Spotlight: Orchun Koroglu of SurrealVR

Orchun, Chief Creative Officer of SurrealVR is Office Evolution Hackensack’s October 2019 member of the month.

Who are you?

I have 20 years of experience as a product manager, game/app designer, creative director and entrepreneur. I worked on more than 30 published titles for Mobile, PC, Web, VR and AR platforms.

I started my career in advertisements industry but in the early 2000s I followed my passion and applied my design and art knowledge skills to game and app design. My journey in casual gaming space began. Since then I designed many games, mobile apps, and have lead large and small teams on various platforms.

What do you love best about being a business owner?

There are many factors and advantages. I think the most important one is, that you have full control of your career and future. If you fail, you know it is your mistakes that took you there. You begin to face failure differently and get up and try again much faster. If you are successful, again it is your accomplishment, your ideas, your team, your leadership that brought you to price. Either way you learn much more, much faster.

Why Office Evolution?

Office Evolution is not our first shared workspace we’ve used. But it is definitely the best one so far. It’s a more down to earth environment, friendly and less of a corporate feeling. We enjoy working here. Feeling good in your office space brings good vibes to a team and that helps in your success, immensely.
