How Freelance Consultants Handle Out-of-Town Client Meetings

As a work from home freelance consultant, do you invite clients to your home or try to meet with them at an outside location? For most freelancers, the choice is a no-brainer.

Most home offices aren’t conducive to client meetings. Maybe you’re worried about the appearance of your house, or perhaps you don’t have a great space to hold a meeting. Or, maybe you value your privacy and want to keep your business and personal life as far apart as possible.

Whatever your reason, you have a number of options for finding a neutral place to meet with clients. From coffee shops to a local library or hotel, finding a meeting space isn’t always the hardest part. You’re the expert here, so the burden of finding the best meeting space falls to you. You’ll need to weigh the pros and cons of each space you’re considering and how it might affect the outcome of your meeting.

Here’s a quick overview of the most common meeting spaces for freelancers and what you need to consider with each one to achieve the outcome you want.  Read more.
