For our final match-up, we look at using a PO Box for a small business vs. using a professoinal mailing address. Both options have their place, but for a small business looking to project a professional image with customers, an address can make a big difference.
The Federal Trade Commissions advises consumers to avoid businesses with a PO Box to reduce the risk of fraud. As a small business owner, having a physical address provides a better sense of confidence from new customers and may mean the difference in who is ultimately trusted. Savvy consumers may also look up your address on services like Google Maps street view to see if it looks like a real business vs. someone’s home.
Office Evolution’s mail package ($79/month) can help with the address as well as have a full time receptionist to receive packages.
