Remote Work after COVID-19: What to Expect in Surprise

There’s no doubt that the COVID-19 pandemic has created drastic workplace changes in a short amount of time. When the pandemic first started infiltrating the U.S., many businesses decided to mobilize their workforce in an effort to protect their employees while allowing the business to continue.

Now that many states are starting to gradually reopen and relax their social distancing rules, it’s time to re-evaluate how remote work has been helpful and how companies might continue to rely on it, either in whole or in part.

For many, remote work has been a step in the right direction, albeit not without its challenges. It’s arguably been more challenging for businesses that didn’t have any remote work policy prior to the pandemic, as they had to make many quick decisions on how to execute and manage a mobile business.

Now that the dust has settled, business leaders should take this opportunity to re-evaluate what’s working and what’s not in their remote work model and decide how to proceed once they’re able to call their employees back to the office.
