Making the Move from the Kitchen Table to a Private Office

Is it finally time to move away from the kitchen table and into a private office?

This is one of the hardest choices freelancers and entrepreneurs face in their careers, especially since there really isn’t a clear answer that fits every solution.

Working from home is a dream setup for many, and for good reason. You don’t have to battle traffic congestion twice a day. You have every comfort of home at your disposal, including unlimited snacks and TV. You can spend less time getting ready in the morning, which can translate into extra sleep.

However, these and other benefits have a price. For starters, working from home severely limits how much you’re able to grow. If you plan on taking on employees that aren’t remote workers, you’ll need a place for them to work, and your kitchen table isn’t usually the best option. Also, working from home makes it difficult to establish a professional presence and find places to meet with clients face-to-face.

Instead, many work-from-home superstars are finding favor with shared workspaces. From earning networking opportunities to creating a more professional image, here’s a closer look at why you should consider making the switch. Read more.
