Member Spotlight: Marisa Faye, Holistic Nutritionist

Are you a dreamer, risk-taker, or doer?

I’m the ultimate dreamer. Ever since I was a kid, I imagined a world where every person could be healthier and happier in their mind and body.

As fellow entrepreneurs, we would love to hear about your business.

I’m a functional nutritionist and wellness expert who works with clients throughout the United States, as well as locally here in Colorado. A lot of people hear my job title and assume that I recommend only one type of diet or one way of being, but my own health journey and the hundreds of clients I’ve served have taught me that every single body is unique. I help individuals, groups, and communities get into the driver’s seat to control the direction of their own health so they may heal and thrive. Some of my specialties include gut health, hormone rebalancing, skin issues, and chronic disease management. I have a background in yoga and mindfulness which is infused into my work, and I like to tell people that I’m a no B.S. practitioner. I welcome when my clients bring questions to our sessions, and I love connecting clients with each other on their journey to improve their own health. In the time of the pandemic, I’ve been able to bring my work to the digital space more and more, which is actually something I love.

Who is your typical customer?

My ideal client is ready! He or she is ready to feel better and ready to put in the effort to do so. Maybe my client is looking for a specific program, such as my virtual group program called, “Figure Out Your Gut.” Or, maybe my client is searching for a practitioner who can teach and guide through the health improvement process. I serve a lot of people who are leaders in their organization, their community, or their family, so they are not only interested in being healthier themselves, but also they tend to share healthy tips and tricks with people they care about.

What are your top tips for entrepreneurial success?

Be yourself, and do it on social media, such as Instagram or Facebook! As entrepreneurs, we have the opportunity to truly attract the people we want to work with, and social media is great for this. I find that those who see me as a mentor are filtering themselves so much that their business identity ends up looking just like the 10 other similar businesses down the street. The thing that often moves my clients from “maybe I want to work with her” to “this is the person who I know can help me” is the way I carry myself and share who I am and why I love what I do.
