Member Spotlight: Michael Faltischek | Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C.

Few embody that spirit more than Michael Faltischek, founding partner at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C. (RMF), and a respected figure in both the legal and business communities across Long Island.

Michael’s career is a testament to the impact we can have when we lead with dedication, expertise, and service.

Professional Excellence

Founded in 1968, Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C. has grown from a small local practice into a premier Long Island business law firm with more than 70 attorneys and a reputation for excellence, thanks, in no small part, to the work and leadership of Michael.

As a founding partner, Michael played a central role in RMF’s evolution from a local practice to a major regional presence, establishing key practice groups and mentoring generations of attorneys. Michael is a member of RMF’s corporate and securities department, where he advises entrepreneurs and businesses on corporate finance, governance, mergers and acquisitions, succession planning, and international transactions. 

He established many of the firm’s practice groups, including the Corporate Governance Practice Group, mentoring young lawyers as they joined the firm. He has also led programs on many business subjects that guide business leaders through complex regulatory and business challenges.

Business Leadership

Outside of the law firm he has engaged in many business activities around his community. He was a Trustee of the Long Island Power Authority, a founding member and Vice Chairman of the Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center, and General Counsel to the New York Smart Grid Consortium. He is a founding member of the illuminado Group, LLC, a business advisory firm where he serves as a Managing Director. He has served on Advisory Boards of many business ventures including Baumann Transportation (operator of school buses), Antares Technology (direct mail service provider) and SVAM International (software development and IT staffing). He also helped found the Long Island Angel Network and served as its Chairman for many years, participating in and guiding start-up ventures

Community Engagement

In addition to his professional influence, Michael is an active member of the Long Island community, giving back through civic and nonprofit engagement. 

He has served on and continues to be involved with numerous organizations in his community. Michael also served on the Board of Directors of the Long Island Association (Vice Chairman, Treasurer, and Audit Committee Chair), the Sunrise Association, the Anti-Defamation League (Chair of the Long Island Regional Board and National Commissioner), the United Jewish Appeal (co-chair), and Temple B’nai Sholom of Rockville Centre (past Chairman and President). 

He also served on the executive board of the Theodore Roosevelt Council of the Boy Scouts of America, the dean’s executive council of the Frank G. Zarb School of Business at Hofstra University, the board of Old Westbury Gardens Foundation, and as a director of Glen Head Country Club (Chair of the Law Committee).
