Work from home activity has surged during the coronavirus pandemic – but not all home offices are created equal. The need for suitable, clean workspaces, close to home has increased and suburban coworking locations are in high demand. These offices allow for focused work, but the human connection with other like-minded professionals is empowering and increases productivity.
Office Evolution was featured in a recent article posted on Ask.com. The article referenced six different things that small or medium-sized business owner, entrepreneur or freelancer should look for when seeking better, more flexible workplace options in times of COVID-19.
Their list included:
Professional environments – Look for workspaces that include comfortable, practical furniture; modern kitchens, bathrooms and conference rooms; lightning-fast internet access; efficient phone systems and effective printers and copiers.
Private offices – Separate workspaces are crucial for reasons of health as well as privacy and productivity
Anti-COVID-19 amenities – Your new building should be equipped with features designed to ward off the spread of illness such as touchless entries, sanitation stations and frequent custodian services
Short commutes – Look for the locations that will best serve the majority of your team. A shorter commute boosts productivity, morale and work-life balance
Affordability – Coworking spaces offer flexible terms so you only pay for the space you need for as long as you want
Flexibility – The most efficient facilities offer either month-to-month or long-term contracts. You should have options to rent one office, multiple offices or a conference room depending on your needs
