Member Spotlight: Gary Rashed founder of GMR Tech LLC
Gary, founder of GMR Tech LLC is Office Evolution Hackensack’s November 2019 member of the month.
Who are you?
My name is Gary Rashed and I am founder of GMR Tech LLC. My vision for this company is to be a top level software development firm for the financial and healthcare industry. Today, most software development is done in house and is by most accounts, a tough part of any business to manage successfully. I am aiming to deliver inexpensive, yet robust software solutions, for small to medium sized businesses that have outgrown excel or Quick Books but can’t afford an in house software development staff. As an adjunct to my software development, I am planning on offering to do in house reviews of software development teams and report to the C-Suite individuals on the state of their development as compared to their peers.
What inspired you to launch your own business/firm?
I had been working in corporate America for about 15 years and had achieved a reasonable level of success, yet I was unhappy. The daily grind, and the inability to control my time (which I’ve learned is the most valuable skill), made me think about what was important in my life. After talking it over with family and friends, I decided that I had to try to strike out on my own. As I was planning this all out, I was unexpectedly laid off. I could have been angry about this, but I just took it as a sigh to go ahead with plans full steam and not look back.
How has Office Evolution helped you be successful?
I’m grateful for a place like Office Evolution. I was working out of my home initially, but that quickly become a problem. Between random family members asking me to do odd tasks, (hey, he’s not working!!!) to the temptations of home, I realized I wasn’t getting any work done. After doing some homework, I found Office Evolution and I could not have been happier!!! The professional atmosphere that Corinne and Amanda provide, along with the facilities are exactly what I need to get myself in the head-space necessary to be productive.
