Meet Diane and Dennis Mapes, who proudly own and operate the Office Evolution franchise in Metro North/Northglenn, Denver. Learn their unique perspectives as entrepreneurs as they share their own professional backgrounds and insight, as well as some of the reasons why they chose to be part of the Office Evolution family—

What made you decide to join Office Evolution’s ‘Ohana’ family?

We realized that in Denver’s northern suburbs, there was a huge need for affordable, professional office space for entrepreneurs and business professionals, and we decided we were ready to start our own business serving our community.

Tell us why your franchise location and your members rock.

Our center has abundant natural light and a very bright and positive feel! Also, we have a very eclectic range of businesses in the Northglenn center that include estheticians, attorneys, CPAs, consultants, acupuncturists, therapists, and construction companies. What’s their common thread? They are all dreamers, risk-takers, and doers who are actively growing their businesses through networking and idea-sharing. We are very proud to serve them!

What energizes you most about owning and running your OE franchise?

Our members all have this great entrepreneurial spirit, and this makes the vibe in the office exciting and very supportive of each other. Diane loves being a cheerleader for our members, and it isn’t out of the ordinary to see her doing a ‘happy dance’ when a member has shared a success story or has closed a big deal. She truly enjoys hearing stories of growth and success from her members.

The two of us, together with Mandy Justo our Business Center Manager, believe positive member engagement is our number one goal. We strive to provide a welcoming and supportive center for all of our members and guests. We enjoy building relationships with members, being engaged with the local community, and helping professionals find office space that’s an asset to their business.

As an entrepreneur and business owner, what advice would you give to other entrepreneurs?

Just make a commitment and go for it! Visualize what you would like your business to be and follow through with your actions to bring it to fruition.

Diane has an extensive thirty-year marketing background that she uses to help all the members in her Office Evolution community. She is a dedicated networker who takes her members’ businesses with her to each meeting and makes connections.  

Dennis has over twenty years of experience in human resources and general administration working within several law firms.

Due to all their experience, they both have a strong understanding of business development. They want to help members build their businesses and nurture new and lasting client relations. They enjoy being able to connect and network with like-minded small business owners who strive to see each other succeed.

Together, they have two teenage sons, Ryan and Shane, and a twenty-six-year-old daughter, Allie, who has her pediatric speech therapy office in their center. They also have four small rescue dogs. They love hiking, skiing, exploring Colorado microbreweries and checking out the live music scene.

Diane is an avid reader and typically reads one new book every week. On the weekends, they off-road in their Jeep Rubicon and check new trails off their list. Diane’s mantra is “wherever you go, go with all your heart,” and she puts her heart and soul into creating a wonderful Office Evolution community for businesses, professionals, and entrepreneurs to grow and thrive.
