What you won’t find is a suite number. All 76 offices take their names from Savannah’s historic squares and landmarks (Columbia, Yamacraw, Oglethorpe, Lafayette, and more!) and the corridors follow suit. You won’t work in 610, you’ll work in Reynolds Square. It’s a small thing that turns a walk to the conference room into a stroll through the city we’re named for, and gives clients an address they actually remember. Because a suite number tells you nothing and a square tells you where you are. The building is laid out the way Savannah is. You arrive at Ellis Square, our lounge, named for the place downtown where everyone goes for food, fun, and fellowship. From there the squares unfold in order, and after one visit most people stop needing directions.
Columbia sits at the top of the plan, an august name for a regal, quiet run of four offices and two phone booths behind their own private hallway. Taylor leads off Ellis, just as Taylor Square is one of the first you meet driving Abercorn from our door toward downtown. Greene is where our coworking desks live. Franklin is the fully private interior stretch by the mailboxes. Pulaski carries you past the copier and the water station, and Chippewa is the private run of four just beyond it. Orleans holds three private offices, including the largest in the building.
Reynolds leads to Yamacraw, named for the people who sold James Oglethorpe the land that became Savannah, and Yamacraw opens onto Oglethorpe itself, the largest square in the building, running the full width of the floor and connecting one side to the other. It ends at Lafayette, and the last office in the building is Lafayette 912, which happens to be our area code.
There is one rule and it holds everywhere in the building: walking from the front of the plan toward the back, even numbers are on your left and odd numbers are on your right. Combine that with the square names and the number series (Columbia is the 100s, Taylor the 200s, Franklin the 300s, Pulaski the 400s, Orleans the 500s, Reynolds the 600s, Yamacraw the 700s, Oglethorpe the 800s, Lafayette the 900s) and you can find any office in the building without asking. Our on-site manager will still happily walk you there the first time.
